Task description

Data Strategy and Governance:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's long-term goals and business requirements.
• Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Define data lifecycle management processes, including data acquisition, storage, integration, transformation, and archival.

Data Architecture Design:

• Design and implement an enterprise-level data architecture that supports scalability, flexibility, and data interoperability.
• Evaluate and select appropriate data management technologies, tools, and platforms based on business needs and industry best practices.
• Define data models, data schemas, and data dictionaries to standardize data definitions and ensure consistency across the organization.

Data Integration and Management:

• Collaborate with application development teams to ensure seamless integration of data across systems and applications.
• Oversee data integration projects and ensure data mapping and transformation processes are efficiently executed.
• Monitor and optimize data storage solutions to maintain performance, cost-effectiveness, and data accessibility.

Data Security and Privacy:

• Implement robust data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and prevent data breaches.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

• Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to design and implement effective data analytics and reporting solutions.
• Facilitate the development of data visualization dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to cross-functional teams on data-related matters.
• Collaborate with other enterprise architects to ensure data solutions align with overall IT architecture.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to data management and architecture.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance data-related capabilities.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Certifications: Industry certifications such as TOGAF or DAMA are advantageous but not mandatory
Experience:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in data architecture, data management, and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques
• Experience with data visualization tools and data analytics platforms
• Familiarity with data-related regulations, security, and privacy best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong understanding of cloud data services, principles and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
